After a series on marriage, Town Center offered to couples an opportunity to renew wedding vows. It was a very special time and many couples participated. Michael, I thank God each day for you and am blessed beyond measure to call you mine. You are a wonderful husband and fabulous daddy! I love you!

Halloween 2008
Riley Jack as a farmer....no a cowboy...no definitely a farmer....
Molly Claire got all dolled up in a penguin costume
Emma the beautiful angel and Riley Jack ready to go trick or treating
We thought, this would be the year....Riley Jack would really get into trick or treating...running up to the houses, ringing the doorbell, yelling trick or treat. He did that for a while, he and Emma started before it got dark at the houses at the front of the neighborhood. All went well, he kept up great with Emma and was super excited about all of the candy he was getting. Then we made the mistake of stopping back by the house to go potty and dump the first load of candy. It went down hill from there. Riley Jack was already struggling with his cowboy boots, he would trip every couple of steps. We encouraged him to change them for his tennis shoes, but no...that was not to be. We trudged on and more people/kids joined in the trick or treating. It began to get dark...Riley Jack was getting tired. We lost Emma somewhere......and Riley Jack all of sudden got shy????? He would no longer go up to the door and ring the bell, so...after tripping over his boots one more time, landing on his candy bucket with the contents spilling all over the sidewalk....we called it a night. Better luck next year...hopefully. BTW, Molly Claire did great in her sling and enjoyed the ride.

Having fun in the BackYard!
Pumpkin Carving??????
A Charleston get away!
Michael and I were fortunate enough to get away (by ourselves) for a weekend before I headed back to work. Charleston is a beautiful old city and we enjoyed sight seeing. We took a walking tour of the downtown area as well as toured one of the many mansions. Dining out was a real treat and we enjoyed many local eateries. Poogan's Porch was one of the local establishment. It was great to get away and relax....and of course to sleep in! Thanks mom for taking care of the kiddos.
Maternity Leave......almost over
As I realize I only have one more week of maternity leave.....I rush to pack everything in....forays in the park, playdates, and extra snuggles. I am looking forward to going back to work, but I will desperately miss this precious time I've spent with my little darlings. Getting to know Molly Claire and knowing without a shadow of a doubt, she will be full of drama. Spending oodles of time with my little man and recognizing what a bright boy he is and anticipating what an amazing future he will have. Blessed beyond measure to be a mom to three wonderful children, and blessed beyond measure knowing their BaBa (Cheryl, Michael's mom) will be caring for them while Michael and I are at work. I've loved every minute of every day.....
Pumpkin Carving at the Burns
Robin and Mark Burns hold a Fall Harvest gathering each year. This year was no exception, however, a wee bit smaller than those in the past. Yummy Chili, Hot Cider, and pumpkin carving was planned for this fun evening. Mark, took Riley Jack on a tractor ride before it got dark and of course after Riley Jack ate his dinner. We carved pumpkins in the fading daylight, announced a winner, complete with prizes of course and enjoyed smores by the bonfire in the falling darkness. What a great way to spend an afternoon. Thank you Mark and Robin for including us in the festivities. We had a blast. Molly Claire enjoyed her very first bonfire too.
Pumpkin Carving......our efforts
"Stencils" or ideas were chosen by each couple, Implements were handed out....and the carving began
Morgan and Grant happy with their results. Morgan saved all the seeds from most of the pumpkins to use in her classroom for pumpkin day. You go girl.
Mary and Albert had the hardest design...very intricate. I couldn't do it.
DJ and Krista....Krista...Krista, where are you? Oh yeah! Chasing Addie Grace......
Molly Claire, all bundled up watching from the sidelines.
