Riley Jack in ready position to catch the ball

He goes after it like a pro.....

and throws it to first base

Riley Jack 2nd at bat....

RJ's first scheduled T-ball game rained out, so we celebrated his first game last Sunday afternoon. It was beautiful afternoon and RJ was ready to play. Daddy and Pop Pop had been working with him in the back yard. Though he is left handed, we can't decide if he will hit or catch with what hand. He seemed to have a great time. His team is the Tigers

Touch a Truck in Kennesaw - March 21st

On Saturday, we enjoyed a few hours in downtown Kennesaw climbing on, waiting in line for, and "driving" anything on wheels. Kennesaw put on a great event where kids, young and old could check out all of kinds of big trucks. We enjoyed free hotdogs and saw several people we knew. Riley Jack's favorite "truck".......the school bus. My favorite part, the cotton candy.

Riley Jack spent much of his time with his hands over his ears. The kids at the event had free reign over the horns.....

Riley Jack's favorite was the school bus.......go figure

Riley Jack driving the big rig fire truck. He waited very patiently in line to sit in the big seat.

Posing with daddy in front of the fire truck.

Michael Barber......Lullwater, Yard of the Month (March)

Okay, I'm sorry, but I just have to giggle out loud.
Cheryl calls me at school on a Tuesday and shares the good news that unbeknowest to her, a sign has been placed in our yard. She shares that Michael has won Yard of the Month. Now, there is no prize, no monetary award, no gift certificate, just the braggin rights that go along with planting that sign in our yard. This is all very funny to us b/c all Michale did was refresh the pine straw and add 5 plants......with flowers. Our good friend Ben won yard of the month for his subdivision of Gramercy and the joke is.....1 he is a landscaper......2 he had no flowers in his yard at the time.
So.....what does it take to win yard of the month in a subdivision with over 500 homes......pine straw and some pretty posies.

I love you Michael....I think it looks beautiful

Riley Jack face plants

So....the story goes like this....Riley Jack, MollyClaire and I were taking a stroll around Legacy Park Circle to turn in our breakfast with Bunny registration form. On the return home; of course Riley Jack had to get out of the stroller and walk. I kid you not, he took two steps and tripped over his feet and face planted onto the concrete. His brain didn't even have time to tell his hands to catch his fall. Yikes. His nose is gushing blood and he won't wipe it on my shirt. We called daddy to the rescue...He came in the van with a towel to wipe up the blood. Riley Jack was so brave and he wouldn't even ride home with daddy, instead he rode home in the stroller with his sister. You would have been proud of me, I didn't freak out at all.....(though I did think his nose was broken) my sister, however, who gets faint at the sight of blood. Hopefully, Brooklynne will never bleed. JK sister.
Riley Jack was a little emotional about his injury. This happened on a Thursday and he had to go to school on Friday, well....he didn't want his friends at school to see his face,(though we made him go anyway) nor would he go to Sunday School at church....He eventually was able to face everyone.

His lip the day before was all swollen, it was pitiful....as soon as the scabs hardened, he began to pick them off........ughhhh!

Let it Snow!

Okay, so this post is about a month overdue....but at least you get to see pictures of the snow. It was a balmy Sunday morning the last day in February, and I stayed home from church.....Riley Jack wasn't feeling well and we didn't want to pass it on. The snow started around 10:30am and I promise it snowed steady for about 5 hours. Riley Jack stood out in it for less than a minute. Too bad it wasn't cold enough for it to stick. It was a beautiful sight to watch though.
