Riley Jack hanging out with The Varner's

During the week of March 17th-21st Riley Jack spent the week with
the Varner Family. (While we were working) The McClannahan's (Riley Jack's regular sitter and my friend) went to Disney World for the week.

Emily Varner, is a friend of mine and former co-worker at Kennesaw Mountain High School. Her and Gary have two beautiful daughters....Kate who will be four next week; Happy Birthday Kate! and Anna, who turned one in January.

Riley Jack had such a blast with Kate and Anna. He could barely tear himself away each day when I came to pick him up. Here he is saying one more goodbye!

Of course...............I bribed him to the van by letting him know he could watch Monsters, Inc. on the DVD with his "telephone head" ie..headphones.
I love this action shot of him running to the van

Easter Egg Hunt

Riley Jack was happy, albeit a little sleepy(I had just woken him up from his nap) as we were waiting for the egg hunt to get started. We had to wait a little bit, before they blew the horn to get started. Riley Jack wanted to get a head start on the fun, so he began putting eggs in his basket ahead of scheduled. Of course......we had to dump them out, which led us to the face below....
This is Riley Jack's cry face....it was quite pitiful....he managed to get four eggs. Better luck next year.

Finally, he put on a happy face and began to enjoy the day. The only other down moment of the day....we waited 30 minutes in line to get his face painted.......you guessed it; he didn't want to do it once we got there.
This is Riley Jack's friend and our neighbor...Emma, she will be four in April

Riley Jack dying Easter Eggs

Riley Jack had a blast dying his very first Easter Eggs!

I think he had more fun putting his hands
in the dye. I set him up outside on the table and
asked him to put on one of Jordan's old T-shirts. He
put up a major fuss, when I reminded him he couldn't color eggs
if he didn't put it on, he quickly complied.
Fortunately, all it took was a soak in the tub to get the dye off.

Happy Easter everyone. HE IS RISEN!

HE IS RISEN INDEED!

Aren't you glad we serve a risen LORD!

Riley Jack's final results.....notice one is missing....
It was cracked, and I let RJ squish it to see what it felt like.

FABULOUS PREGNANCY HAIR!

I love this stage of my pregnancy......my hair is so thick and full!
Riley Jack has taken to twirling his finger in my hair when I am holding him..
Sometimes it hurts! Yikes. We are looking forward to the Legacy Park
Easter Egg hunt this Saturday...it had to be rescheduled due to the
tornadoes that blew through this area last weekend. Fortunately, we were left
untouched. In fact Michael and I were putting up Christmas decorations in the
attic....we could hear the tornado sirens going off intermittently. Michael also had his first fall off
a ladder. Shhh, don't tell his mom. Hee Hee. I had the perfect view from my perch in attic.
Don't worry...he wasn't hurt, he was only two steps up.

Christmas 2007

Christmas 2007
The Barber Family traveled this Christmas! Not only did we spend Christmas with the Barbers in TN.....but after we picked up Jordan the Friday after Christmas we traveled to MI to visit my brother Tim and his family. We arrived safely. The kids played in the snow the following day. Riley Jack loved it as this was his first time. We spent Sunday after Christmas at a play place called Kokomo's. The big boys (Michael and Tim) played indoor golf, while us "kids" played in the arcade. Jordan was an old pro and helped the younger kids out. (Logan, Paige, and Riley Jack) After we were all played out, we drove out to Frankenmuth (MI's little Bavaria). We met my Godmother Roxanne and her husband Bob and ate a late lunch at Zehnder's (lot's of food). We visited Bronner's which is a world renowned Christmas store......lots and lots and lots of ornaments. The building itself is as big as one and one half football fields.

Shelli's 25th birthday!

Pajamma Party for Shelli's 25th birthday!

Shh, it's a surprise! Shelli's closest girlfriends got together for a surprise PJ breakfast at Shelli's adopted mom's Ann Matera. Also hosted by Belinda Douglas. For those of you who don't know...Shelli is an integral part of the Barber Family. She keeps Riley Jack for us, while we work. Hailey, Shelli's daughter is one of Riley Jack's best buddies. Thank you Shelli for keeping our precious prince.

Christmas Trip to Tennessee

Michael, Riley Jack, and I left to meet BaBa and PopPop
in Sevierville, TN (near Pigeon Forge) for Christmas. We
left the Saturday before Christmas. We enjoyed a very relaxing few
days. On Christmas Eve, we drove the winding road up to Cades Cove,
a 6,800 valley found in the Smokey Mountains. On our drive, we were able
to see some wildlife as well as some 19th century historic buildings.

We had not yet shared our
good news about the baby with the family. On the way up the mountain,
I sat in the back seat. I'm not prone to car sickness, nor have I thrown up
since I was four years old. Half way up, I began to feel very ill, you know that clammy
feeling you get right before you barf? I started swallowing with no help in sight.
I squeaked out for Michael to pull over, I caught my breath, and miraculously held all in. Whew! I blammed it on the winding curves, and Pop Pop let me sit in the front seat. Of course, not without commenting...."What was that morning sickness or something" Michael and I did not even look at each other for fear we would give our "secret" away. We all joked about the incident when we shared our good news, after we received the all is well from the Doctor.

Riley Jack has NEWS to share!

My mommy is gonna have a baby...which means, I'm gonna be a big brother! Jordan is pretty excited too, and he would also prefer a baby sister. We shall see>>>>>>>>>
When we announced we were expecting, Riley Jack shared the news with everyone..... that he wanted a baby sister. I am 18 weeks and expect this bundle of Joy to arrive in the middle of July. So far everything has gone well, and except for normal exhaustion, I have felt great. Michael and I have decided to wait until the baby is born to discover whether it is a boy or a girl. Sorry guys! Though it's funny....my intention was to keep the nursery the same. (It is currently Zanzibar, jungle animals and such) Michael informs me, after the baby is born, we will picking out a new theme for the nursery. If that isn't a hoot.

Way to cute..Riley Jack will be a fabulous big brother, just like Jordan!

Riley Jack snuggling with his niece Brooklynne Kennedy, this is the big hint, that he wants a baby sister.

Introducing Brooklynne Kennedy

Introducing Brooklynne Kennedy
born: January 12th, 2008
proud parents: Fred and Melissa Trim (my sister of course)
Michael and I were very excited when we traveled to Florida the weekend after Brooklynne was born. Missy and Fred are doing great and have transitioned effortlessly as parents. I just love this photo don't you.

Thanksgiving weekend--Waiting for Santa Clause

Jordan looking suave with his long hair......trying to keep Riley Jack in line waiting for Santa Clause. After we picked up Jordan at the airport the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we headed directly to the mall to take our beloved photo of with Santa Clause. Last year Riley Jack was having nothing of it......this year he was a little more receptive, and didn't even cry. I wonder how long I can keeping coercing Jordan to pose with his brother.

Riley Jack waiting patiently for Santa Clause. Yum Yum that cookie is so good
