One on One with MollyClaire

After putting Riley Jack to bed....Paige and Logan had some one on one time with MollyClaire. Her biggest trick of the evening....pulling herself up on her mommy's fingers to a standing position. As of yet, MollyClaire has shown no interest in becoming mobile. Which is really fine with me. She seems content to just sit.

Hanging in Michigan

The four kiddos hanging at Uncle Timmy and Aunt Tracy's, mom and I made the drive in 14 hours in one day. Whoo hoo. It wasn't too bad, just the last 2 1/2 hours or so when MollyClaire decided she was done riding in the van.

Looking so cute the next day after a goods night sleep.

Cute little Paige, posing for the camera. Paige loved not being the baby of the group. She absolutely adored MollyClaire.
Can you see the hero worship?
On a side note.....do you notice the long sleeves on these children? My little boy in a hoodie, which he has not worn since March....We arrived in MI to very cool temperatures, in June no less. We arrived on a Wednesday where the low that evening was a chilly 34degrees. What!?

Happy Mother's Day

Riley Jack invited me to a yummy Mother's Day brunch at Kennesaw First Baptist where he attends preschool. He made some adorable things for me. A pretty orange flower with his cute little face in the middle. A white pot with a decopage picture of him in a man's jacket and tie. Way too cute. The mommies got to listen to a selection of songs that the kiddos had been working on all spring. Riley Jack sang loud and proud and did all of the hand movements. I'm so glad I'm Riley Jack's mommy.

After we enjoyed the Mother's Day Brunch, I took RJ with me to Acworth Beach where my students were enjoying being outside at the park and were awaiting the awards ceremony for Adaptive PE to begin. I couldn't resist snapping a few photos of RJ.

I love this picture of him caught unaware

Happy Birthday Riley Jack

Riley Jack had a great time at his 4th birthday party. We had it at The Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta. It was an hour and a half of fun fun fun. And no clean up for mommy. Yeah! I actually won the party at school from a fundraiser DECA was doing. The kids had a great time and some of the daddies joined in the fun.(jumping in the foam pit)
MollyClaire was such a good girl at RJ's party. She had a great time with Aunt Diane....who just wouldn't let her go. Diane, Jaimie and Autumn I'm so glad you could come.
Yummy Costco cake.......
MollyClaire getting her very first bite of cake....fed to her of course by Aunt Diane. Who I believe fed Riley Jack his first bite of cake at one of Autumn's birthday parties.

Tommy Nobis - Galaxy of the Stars

Kelly Bramblett holding her Governor's Award, and me holding my nomination plaque.
Theresa Reticker-Schultz (my dept. head), me, Kelly, and her parents - Mr. and Mrs. Jones @ the Waverly Renaissance for the Tommy Nobis Galaxy of the Star awards.
Michael joined us to help me celebrate.

In January The Mountain Top Cafe program and Buccaneer Brew (Kelly's coffee shop at Allatoona HS) were both nominated for best program Tommy Nobis Galaxy of the Star Award. Those of you that know me and Kelly, know they are one in the same. Kelly and I started The Mountain Top Cafe in 2004 at Kennesaw Mountain High School. We co-wrote a curriculum and incorporated a small business; Serving Up Success, Inc. Anyway, to make a long story short.......the powers that be at the Tommy Nobis contacted our department heads and they made the decision to leave us both nominated just in different areas. I stayed in the program nomination and Kelly went in the professional advocate category. We were all invited to a fancy luncheon at the Waverly Renaissance in April. There were five categories with a handful of nominations in each category. From the winners of each category.....they would choose an overall winner for the Governors Award. Kelly......won her category as well as The Governors Award. Her mom and dad and her husband Marc were there to celebrate. It was a great day for both of us ......because our idea of students working and learning transition skills was being celebrated. It wasn't bad PR for Serving Up Success either.
