Saturday before the wedding - we took a tiny trip down memory lane. Of course we had to visit the BULL GATOR - and have our pictures made in front of it. How touristy is that? Is touristy a word........
I absolutely could not wait till this weekend to get here. I was so looking forward to getting together with my special ed college buddies from The University of Florida. It had been two years. Way to long. Terri was getting married and we were going to celebrate. Yeah! Diane, Roni and I with our spouses met Friday evening at the Gainesville Ale House to do a little catching up. Diane and James - Rome, GA Roni and Warren - East Calais, VT Stephanie and Michael - Kennesaw, GA
I finally did it....bought the family pass to the Zoo Atlanta. So, I think to myself - self - it would be a great idea to go to the zoo........during spring break. What was I thinking. It was crazy busy and MollyClaire lasted till about noon. Krista and her daughters Addie Grace and Nori went with us. Riley Jack had a great time and was oblivious to the drama that was unfolding between his mommy and his sister. Unfortunately - taking pictures was not a priority. Overall, I'm looking forward to taking just Riley Jack one day soon. I can't wait to experience the zoo through his eyes.
Riley Jack is a budding artist - here he is making a thank you painting for RaRa - for the fabulous Easter goodies. Posing for the camera. We were blessed with some beautiful weather the week of spring break. We enjoyed much time outdoors in the sunshine. The kids loved playing outside after the really cold winter we've experienced. While RJ was painting and before you could say boo.....Molly Claire had her hands in the paint. So I had to improvise - T-shirt on - a little dab of paint on the paper and away she went. She loved smooshing he hands in the paint. and yes.......she tried to eat the paint.
The Easter Bunny came early to the Barber house - because Jordan had to fly home on Sunday - So on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, while Pop pop and Michael were at the church putting a backsplash up....the kids enjoyed their baskets. Aunt Lori and Uncle Justin joined us for the weekend and made this Easter extra special. The gang's all here.
Oh my goodness - what a mess. MollyClaire was having way too much fun decorating eggs. She would plop the egg into the bowl.....and then pick it out. This egg she decided to investigate a little more closely. She tried the yolk, but decided she didn't like it.
