Away in a Manger
Reflecting on the reason for the season....I am reminded to be thankful for little boys in robes and little girls dressed in white wearing angel wings.... for a baby born in a manger among the lowliest of low.... for being honored by the mightest of Kings.... for having the opportunity to choose Jesus....I am forever thankful
Big Shanty Art Station
The Saturday before Christmas, Riley Jack and I spent the day....just him and me. We started out at the Big Shanty Art Station where we listened to Christmas stories being read by a little old lady in a rocking chair. We then moved to the craft stations, where Riley Jack proceeded to make a melted snowman and a see through votive snowman. He also got to see the big man himself....Santa. Off to Chick fi la for lunch of course, then we wandered around Target, I scored with a new skirt, and a couple of sweaters. Riley Jack desperately need a hair cut....so we went to pigtails and crewcuts...the wait was way to long...boy was I glad to get out of there. A few more stops and we called it a day. I had a great time just hanging with my little man. It amazes me how bright he is and the concepts he comes up. I can't wait (though I don't want to rush it) to see what he turns out to be.

KFBCS Christmas Program
The whole group singing.....with movements. Can you spot Riley Jack???
Up to the microphone for their big debut. I was told that the class was asked if they wanted to participate with a solo/duet or speaking part......Riley Jack raised his hand right away and said I do I do I do....I want a speaking part. So they gave him one, with his buddy Tillman.
Here they....right up at the microphone. It was so funny, I had tears in my eyes. I'm waiting for Tillman's mommy to copy the video they took, so I can replay it over and over.

Bridal Shower for Lori
Michael's brother Justin is marrying his sweetheart in January - which gave me the perfect excuse to throw her a bridal shower. With less than two weeks to plan - I think it turned out beautiful. We (Krista - Lori's matron of honor co-hosted) kept it simple and served punch and yummy cakes from publix. Lori's family and friends joined us to celebrate as well as mom's (Cheryl's) friends from Spring Ridge. Lori and Justin received a lot of nice gifts and it was a great opportunity for Lori to get to know some of the people that have loved Justin for all of his life.

He looked dazed and confused during the whole thing.
Yeah! Uncle Justin
"I got my diploma....I got my diploma........
Happy Graduation Justin - we are so proud of you. Justin was so excited about walking in the graduation ceremonies....he signed up late and his name was LEFT out of the program. Oh well. I have the photo's to document the day
Here we come Santa!
Soooooooo Cute!
So, this is the first year that Jordan has not been in the Santa picture and the first time Riley Jack has not cried...instead MollyClaire cried. I was pretty calm about the whole thing. The Santa photographer was like - "would you like to pick her up now, I don't think she is going to stop crying" Riley Jack was a trooper through the whole thing, he just kept smiling.
