Party Guests
Who do you invite to a one year old's birthday party?????? Cause everyone knows, the party is more for the adults than the birthday girl in question. When trying to decide upon a theme, I had some tough acts to follow. Holly had done a cute poodles in Paris theme for Sarah Beth and Krista had this adorable cherry theme for Addie Grace's 1st. Well of course, I wanted MC to have an appropriately cute theme as well. So.....after much googling and looking around, I decided on a Watermelon theme.....Tada....It's July, of course watermelons would be so cute. Gymboree had a watermelon clothing line so I had her outfit.(I waited till it went on sale...the day before the party) Target was so fabulous to have a few watermelon party accessories. (Tablecloth, party platter and utensil holder). Of course after the invites had been sent out, (By the way if you are looking for cute photo invite cards, this lady does a phenomenal job. I found her on etsy.com - polkadotspaisleys.blogspot.com, her name is Catherine Wilson) I couldn't find any watermelon stuff at party city or the like. Oh well, costco plates and cups will work in a pinch. Overall, it was a great success!

Watermelon Birthday Party
Of course I had a mini photo shoot the morning of her party....had to showcase the cute watermelon outfit.
Yes...I made the cake, doesn't it look like a watermelon? I made MollyClaire her very own of course. It was pretty yummy
Aunt Kelly stealing some love from MollyClaire. MollyClaire was finishing up her nap while her guests arrived and Aunt Kelly was the first to hold her after her highness woke up.
Mary Jane and Shelli Cossel hanging out at MollyClaire's birthday. You can't tell what MaryJane is wearing, but mommy and daughter match. Without even trying.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS MOLLYCLAIRE
July 16th....a year ago today, I gave birthday to this beautiful princess. Can you believe it? Wow! Having a girl, is definitely different than having a boy. MollyClaire has been a joy this past year, though she has brought challenges that I didn't have to deal with the boys. Let's focus on the positives....she has not been sick once her entire year of birth....we had one false alarm, where we thought she had an ear infection, but it was her way of letting us know she was getting a tooth...(pulling on her ear) She also pulls on her left ear when she is tired. Back to the positives.....she sleeps great, two long naps a day and at least 12 hours at night. She can put herself to sleep....., she will eat anything I put in front of her and has moved on to whatever we are eating...she loves peanut butter and jelly the best. She already has several words in her vocabulary, though......you have to listen close to understand them. She says mama, daddy, baba, Riley Jack, puppy, and thank you...Jordan says she calls him bubbie....Just a few more fun facts to remember, MollyClaire got her 1st tooth on February 26th, and clapped her hands for the first time on March 21st. She claps all the time now, it's way to cute. It won't be long and she will be waving. On May 10th, she began shaking her head no for the first time. We laughed over that one. Right after we returned from MI, on June 8th, she went from her tummy to sitting up, I thought that was a great accomplishment. She started crawling on June 22nd, at a little over 11 months old. She chomps with a total of 8 teeth......to date those are MollyClaire's accomplishments.
Riley Jack wanted to cheese with his sissy.
Sword Play anyone?
Fun Fun Fun......just a little sword play to pass away the afternoon. It's actually pretty cool. Jordan and I have actually gone a few rounds. Surprisingly, it's a great arm work out.
Coming in for a blow...
Riley Jack and Mommy showing off their twinness. Hee hee.
Can't ever pass up a cute photo of the boys.
Bye Bye King Family
Handsome Will chilling on the stairs....
Buddies forever. Riley Jack and Reese saying goodbye. King Family we will miss you terribly. Thank you for being great neigbors, but more importantly, thank you for being our friends. We have enjoyed every backyard play session and phone call asking if Riley Jack can play. SaraBeth, you will do great in school, you are super smart, I have no doubt of your success. Jeff, you will find the job of your dreams.......we will be praying for you. Don't forget to invite us up to TN when you get settled.
Boating with the Kings
SaraBeth, Reese and Riley Jack enjoying Lake Allatoona. The Kings are our neighbors.....for a little bit longer anyway. They are moving to TN, so SaraBeth can go back to school to become a nurse anestisian. They will be greatly missed, Riley Jack and Reese are great pals. I've seen both Reese and will(their youngest) come home from the hospital....it will be a very sad day when they go.
Reese was a little nervous in the water at first. Staying upright in a lifevest is tough for a kiddo. The noodle helped and before long, Reese was "swimming" like a pro in the lake.
Riley Jack showing off his adorable smile and his swimming skills
Jeff, SaraBeth's other half, chilling on the boat.....goofy grin Jeffery.
Cow Appreciation Day!
Pickle making day/July 1st
Riley Jack and Hailey praying for their lunch. Somehow, I didn't get any pictures of the pickles.
Shelli came over and we proceeding to make 24 jars of pickles. Wow. This was our first attempt and I must say they were fabulous. The dills were a little salty, but at least I will know what not to do next time.
Pullin some Pork
After spending all day, smoking thirty two boston butts, we all got together to pull some pork, we cut a ton of cucumbers too, created macaroni salad, stirring it like a witches caldron....I won't mention that Cheryl dropped a entire giant pan on the floor. She blamed it on her boobs......Anyway, we worked hard and prepared a fabulous meal for TMoore's ordination.
Don't Grant and Morgan look so excited pulling all that pork?
Shane....the master pork puller
Michael trying to keep up.

Rubbin some Butts!
This is Michael and I rubbing 5 lbs of brown sugar, and other yummy ingredients into 2 Boston Butts........yummy. We were preparing them to smoke the next day over at the Burns, in preparation of our 4th of July Celebration. The boys also smoked 32 butts for Pastor TMoore's ordination. Wow! That's a lot of butts.
Peanut Butter and Jelly...Yummy
These pictures are too cute for words. On June 22nd, MollyClaire ran out of baby food.......so, out with the old in with the new...real food! Here she is sampling a yummy pb & j. She loved every bite. Since then she has enjoyed everything we have placed in front of her. She loves hot dogs, fruit, yogurt, chicken (especially chick fi la nuggets). She also started crawling on this day. She had started rockin while we were in MI, but alas no crawling.......of course she waited till BaBa was out of town to start crawling. I don't have any photos/video but I shall capture it soon.
