Venice

After a couple of days in Lake Wales visiting with my family, we headed to Tampa, FL to visit with the Fink family. We have been friends with Ben and Mandy for 17 years. Wow! Ben was off in Africa on a little missions trip - so we got to hang out with Mandy and the kids. We had a great time catching up on each other's lives. The kids played great together. Mandy even watched our kiddo's while Michael and I headed out on a mini date. We enjoyed Blindside - watching a movie is a rare treat. Venice was our next stop. We picked Jordan up from school on Monday and headed to the hotel for yummy Pizza Hut delivery. Michael - bless him, got up early and took Jordan off to school the next day. Make a note.....MollyClaire in a hotel room with no place to close the door, makes for no naps for MollyClaire. So......each day, we had to get in the car and drive around just so she would take a nap. Yippee! On Wednesday, we took all the kiddos to the MOTE Aquarium in Longboat Key. It doesn't compare to the GA or TN aquarium but it was something to do on a rainy day. We really enjoyed the turtles. Jordan had plans for the rest of Thanksgiving break, so we decided to go to the Columbia Resturant for Thanksgiving dinner. Alas, after getting up on Thursday, we chose instead to just head to the farm and spend the day with Justin, Lori (and her family) and Baba. 10 days was a really long time to be gone away from home, but we got to see a lot of family.
